ACCN’s mission is to encourage and improve the business of publishing court, legal and commercial newspapers. A major goal of the organization is to enhance and encourage the publication of newspaper legal notices. It considers a rich stream of legal notices to the public to be a part of a three-legged stool of accountability, along with open meetings and open records.

The president of ACCN for 2007-08 is Chris Mobley, president and publisher of the Daily Business Review, Miami, FL
